It’s no surprise that there is not a lot of talk in the reenactor world about DAK impressions. Unfortunately, the U.S. cannot support many events due to its geography. Reenactors typically choose to do DAK impressions during public displays, or during that remote possibility that they live in a geographical area that supports it, and even then, the events are infrequent.

This article hopes to help novice and veteran reenactors alike. In this article, I hope to explain small items that novice reenactors tend to get wrong, as well as debunk myths common with seasoned DAK reenactors. I will cover the following topics:

-Common Footwear and Trouser Combinations Worn (lengthy) updated 24.01.2015

-Bleaching of the Field Caps updated 09.02.2015
